The Prosperity Digital Marketplace, LLC (“PDM,” “we,” “our,” “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”), which is part of our Terms, governs your use of our Site and Services and describes the information we collect through our Site, how we use and share it, and how you can make choices about our use of that information.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

We collect personally-identifiable information (“Personal Information”) when you provide it to us. Personal Information may include name, email and physical address, and telephone number; gender; financial information; profession, employment, and income; marital status and family information (e.g., names and ages of children); and racial or ethnic information. Below are the most common ways in which you would provide your Personal Information:

  • To open an account;
  • To make a donation;
  • To request goods or services offered through our Site
  • To contact us (e.g., through our Contact Us page);
  • To sign up for our mailing list; and
  • To complete other transactions or requests through our Site.

The UWWC may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, the UWWC may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to the UWWC, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Donations / Donor Privacy

If you wish to make a donation through our “Donate” button, your donation will be processed through our payment processor Stripe. You can learn more at: https://stripe.com/privacy. We do not collect or store your payment card information, although Stripe may provide other Personal Information related to your donation (e.g., so that we can properly acknowledge gifts for IRS purposes and to analyze giving histories).

We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or other Personal Information with another entity or send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by PDM, both online and offline.

Information Automatically Collected

We also collect information about users when you interact with our Site. This includes the IP address of the device you use to access the Site, the browser type, the time and date of visits to our Site and time spent on a particular page, the website that referred or linked you to our Site, the page you landed on our Site, links you clicked, and search terms you use and results you receive on the Site. We may use this information to analyze how visitors use our Site so we can improve the quality of our Site. In addition to other uses described in this Policy, we may use information automatically collected by our Site to identify visitors individually in connection with legal process or to protect our rights or the rights of a third party as further described in this Policy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device. We or third-party service providers (“Service Providers”) may collect information through cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, clear gifs and similar technologies. These technologies are used for tracking across a web session on our Site or through emails we may send you.

Google Analytics, a third-party website analytics tool that collects automated information about visitor traffic. Google Analytics provides aggregate information to allow us to analyze how our Site is used. Google Optimize, an online split-testing tool that allows us to personalize the user experience and conduct user experience A/B testing, multivariate testing, and redirect tests. For example, in an A/B split test, half of the users who visit our Site will see a webpage and the other half will see an alternative webpage, which will help us test which webpage works best for us. Google Tag Manager (“GTM”), a tag management system that allows us to install and update measurement codes and related code fragments collectively known as tags. FullStory, a third-party tool that records your interactions with our Site in a video that we can play back so that we better understand the user experience on our Site. This tool helps us identify problems that visitors may experience on our Site so that we can work to improve our Site. Lead Rx, a third-party marketing attribution platform that captures various touchpoints that commonly guide prospects to becoming members and partners and allows us to analyze the anonymous information gathered in aggregate to improve future marketing efforts and save precious donor funds. Amplitude, a third-party analytics platform that helps us track visitors through real-time analytics and allows us to analyze multiple user data points and to understand users’ interactions with our platform. You can learn more at https://amplitude.com/privacy.

How We Use Your Information

Below are the most common ways in which we (or our Service Providers) may use your Personal Information:

We do not rent or sell Personal Information to any third parties.

We may share your Personal Information with our Service Providers that help us operate and provide services in connection with the Site and with affiliated organizations, such as your local United Way.

We reserve the right to disclose and use Personal Information and other information in special circumstances, including to enforce this Policy or any other Terms, to comply with legal process or law enforcement, to address actual or suspected illegal activity, to protect our property or rights, to protect the rights and safety of anyone, or for other reasons we determine in good faith are necessary, appropriate, or required by law. If we ever merge with, are acquired by, or otherwise consolidate with another organization, Personal Information may be transferred along with our other assets.

Record Retention

We will keep your Personal Information for as long as we need it, or as otherwise prescribed by law, for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Security

Information collected through our Site will be accessed and processed in the United States. By using our Site and providing your Personal Information to us, you consent to this transfer and to the collection, storage, processing and use of your Personal Information within the United States.

Your Choices Regarding Our Use of Your Personal Information

Do Not Track Requests

Some browsers have incorporated Do Not Track (“DNT”) preferences. As there is not yet an industry-standard DNT protocol on how to interpret DNT signals, we do not respond to DNT signals from browsers at this time.

Children

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. A visitor to our Site may choose to provide Personal Information about his or her own child when requesting certain goods or services to be provided on behalf of the child.
