Prosperi-Key brings together people and organizations that want to make a difference in the lives of those living paycheck to paycheck. The members who join our platform are working hard to improve their financial condition, and advocate for what they need. We gather the resources in one place so they can find the assistance that is right for them, respecting their limited time and offering dignity and confidentiality as they access help. Our team is scattered around the United States, in at least 3 time zones with a global, tech-forward approach to local issues.

As Prosperi-Key was developed, we knew we needed a reliable partner on the ground in communities across the country if we were going to connect people and resources in a local way. That partner is United Way. United Way mobilizes the caring power of communities across the nation to advance the common good. That’s why it made sense to partner together – United Way is in every local community bringing together business, nonprofit, government, education and donors to solve problems and improve lives.
United Way of Northern New Jersey has been spearheading research on Prosperi-key’s hardworking membership for the past ten years; United Ways call these households ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.) Additional partnerships with local United Ways helps take this immense body of data to the next step - action. From these United Way research roots, the Prosperi-Key team is committed through its platform to cultivating a relevant and useful ecosystem in each community - toward a brighter future and improved outcomes overall.
Kim has worked with the United Way of Western CT for over 16 years which gives her a unique perspective learning about and working to improve the quality of life for those impacted by poverty, mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness. This perspective enabled her to re-imagine how low-income working households access social services, and build a connection for businesses and individuals to offer a hand-up instead of a hand-out. She launched Prosperity Digital Marketplace (PDM), the non-profit technology start-up subsidiary of UWWCT to build this marketplace for households living paycheck to paycheck. Everything she does for Prosperi-Key is aimed at making a difference by finding the most effective way of connecting resources with those in need, whether it’s employees, donors, businesses, fellow nonprofits, or volunteers. Early on, she formed a paid ALICE Advisory Board made up of community members with lived experience, advising and guiding the development of Prosperi-Key.

Anita is a strong, cause-driven leader helping shape both the team and product at PDM. She believes in the need to truly understand both the business and the market, which is why she emphasizes building deep, meaningful relationships with ALICE and other stakeholders. Her qualities have helped her swiftly and efficiently translate the United Way’s research of this hard working population living paycheck to paycheck into a product roadmap, and ultimately Kim’s vision of a platform that connects communities in a new and exciting way, for all the stakeholders of Prosperi-Key.

Melissa is our link to one of the most important parts of Prosperi-Key, the members who need help stretching their hard-earned paychecks with new and existing opportunities all in one place. Her personal life experience as a single mother of 3, professionally in customer service and as a nonprofit program director helping lower income families, brings the secret sauce to Prosperi-Key. She, along with our ALICE Advisory Board have been integral throughout the shaping of the platform ensuring the voice of the user is always at the table, thereby ensuring PDM’s impact every step of the way.

Baylen is an experienced, versatile digital marketer with a track record of building scalable brands from the ground up. His focus is on using his past experiences growing online communities to introduce ALICE populations to the many great offers on the Prosperi-Key platform. Baylen believes that simplicity and cohesiveness are key, and includes these two elements throughout his work. The youngest of 3 brothers in a household with one parent employed, Baylen understands the importance of Prosperi-Key to families like the one he grew up in.

Our platform, Prosperi-Key, provides personalized access to resources for those living paycheck-to-paycheck, known in the United Way community as ALICE®. ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained and Employed, make up an astonishing 43% of the US population.
The underlying solution to this problem is not only knowing the ALICE community and their needs, but providing a functional and easy way to help them navigate towards help. We know this community and we have worked directly with ALICE to build our platform. Prosperi-Key ensures local resources are recruited to help Prosperi-Key Members, and revenue gets reinvested back into the same community.
